West Slope Water District is committed to providing transparent, accurate annual financial reporting. The Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) is the District's presentation of its financial statements for external reporting purposes and facilitates the monitoring and accountablity responsibilities of the Board of Commissioners for oversight of the District's fiscal affairs.
The District completes a comprehensive, third-party financial audit at the end of each fiscal year ending June 30th. For the past seventeen years, the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) has awarded the District a Certificate of Achievenment for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its annual financial report. In order to receive this award, a public entity must publish an easily readable and efficiently organized annual comprehensive financial report (ACFR). This report must satisfy both generally accepted accounting principles and applicable legal requirements. The award is valid for one year only.
