Improving Water Service in Your Neighborhood

West Slope Water District is planning two water main replacement projects in the neighborhood. These projects are part of the District’s ongoing infrastructure replacement program and are intended to improve system reliability and provide dependable, long-term water service.

The existing water mains in these areas have experienced several leaks in recent years and are scheduled for complete replacement.

Project Locations

SW Sharon Lane (see map below)

The project will replace the existing water main along:

• SW Sharon Lane, from the intersection with SW Brenne Lane west to SW Ridgewood Avenue
• Continuing south and west to the intersection of SW 75th Avenue and SW Brentwood Drive

SW Canyon Drive (see map below)

The project will replace the existing water main along:

• SW Canyon Drive, from the intersection with SW Miner Way west to SW 78th Avenue

Project Schedule

Design and Survey — Fall 2026

The District has hired Wallis Engineering to design the projects. Survey work is scheduled to begin the week of September 21, 2026.

Residents may see utility companies marking underground utilities with colored paint as part of the survey process. Please do not disturb utility markings placed in landscaping or adjacent to the roadway.

Construction — Spring 2027

Construction is currently planned for spring 2027 and is expected to take approximately one to two months.

The District will provide additional information about construction activities, traffic impacts, access, and the construction schedule once a contractor has been selected and more detailed plans are available.

What to Expect

The projects will involve complete replacement of the existing water mains within the roadways. Construction may temporarily affect traffic, parking, driveway access, and other activities in the project areas.

Additional information will be provided to affected residents as construction plans and schedules are finalized.
